The Pekin Park District Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part time police
The primary duty of a park district police officer is the protection of people and property. Park district police
officers will patrol their assigned jurisdiction, respond to calls for service, assist other agencies when
needed, enforce laws, make arrests, issue citations, testify in court, assist park patrons and protect the
financial assets of the park district.
High School diploma or GED
Certified full or part-time police officer in the State of Illinois
Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a police officer
Be of sound moral character
No criminal history
Complete a thorough background investigation, including a psychological assessment (upon request)
Be able to work at least 2 shifts per month
Be able to work extra details occurring on park property as needed
Starting hourly pay: $14.13 / hour
Special event pay: $30.00 / hour

The Tremont Police Department is seeking applicants for a Fulltime position. Individuals must be Fulltime certified or Part time certified with the ability to pass the 80 hour transition course to become fulltime certified. Starting pay range is $18 – $22 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Applications must be picked up and returned in person at the Tremont Village Hall, 211 S.
