MACKINAW POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Village of Mackinaw Police Department is currently seeking applicants for the position of Part-Time Police Officer. Presently our department is looking to fill one part-time officer position. At this time, we are only accepting applications from part-time or full-time State of IL certified police officers. Applications will be accepted for this open position until 4:00PM on February 14th, 2020. Once a completed application and resume are received, applicants will be contacted on a first come, first serve basis depending on qualifications. Interviews will be scheduled for the last week of February and the 1st week of March, with a tentative start date for a qualified applicant in the last week of March 2020. Applicants must:
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be certified in the State of Illinois as a part-time or full-time law enforcement officer
- Be of sound moral character
- Be able to pass a thorough background investigation
- Be able to pass a physical and drug screen
- Have no prior felony convictions
- Be able to complete a field training program
- Be able to work, at a MINIMUM, two shifts per month with availability on nights and weekends.
Starting pay for certified law enforcement officers is $16.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience with a $.50 per hour increase after completion of probationary period. The Mackinaw Police Department covers a village of 1900 citizens in southeast Tazewell County, and is staffed by both full time and part time police officers with varying degrees of experience. The Pekin Park District Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part time police
The primary duty of a park district police officer is the protection of people and property. Park district police
officers will patrol their assigned jurisdiction, respond to calls for service, assist other agencies when
needed, enforce laws, make arrests, issue citations, testify in court, assist park patrons and protect the
financial assets of the park district.
High School diploma or GED
Certified full or part-time police officer in the State of Illinois
Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a police officer
Be of sound moral character
No criminal history
Complete a thorough background investigation, including a psychological assessment (upon request)
Be able to work at least 2 shifts per month
Be able to work extra details occurring on park property as needed
Starting hourly pay: $14.13 / hour
Special event pay: $30.00 / hour

TREMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Tremont Police Department is seeking applicants for a Full time position. Individuals must be Full time certified or Part time certified with the ability to pass the 80 hour transition course to become full time certified.
