Course Objective
This one day, 2-hour program has been designed to update officers concerning the changes in the statutory law in relation to the Illinois Domestic Violence Firearms Law. This training focusing on the modification of Illinois Domestic Violence Firearms Law caused by the enactment of Karina’s Law.
Course Content
The goals of this course are as follows.
• Provide a complete analysis of the statutory changes concerning Karina’s Law.
• Allow Illinois Law Enforcement Officers and Agencies to become familiar with changes that must be made in their Agency policies as a result of Domestic Violence Firearms Law changes.
• Provide an opportunity to discuss the best ways to react to these changes.
