This class is a hands-on course introducing the attendee to the various different types of evidence involving cellular devices. The course starts by explaining the various different types of cellular networks and device operating systems. The students will then begin to conduct forensic examinations on the device by using software to extract and analyze the data stored on the device. The student will then be instructed on how to obtain and analyze the cellular records, and ultimately compare the cellular records to the data extracted from the devices. Next the student will learn how to map the location-based information supplied in the cellular records. Lastly, the attendees will be instructed on how to create a forensic report and prepare to testify to their findings.
