Delavan Police Department

The City of Delavan will be accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer. Starting salary will be $36,400 to $38,625 and will be based on experience as a police officer.  Applicants must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and FOlD card. Applicants must have no prior felony convictions.  A current State of Illinois police full-time or part-time certification is preferred.  All full-time employees must reside within 20 air miles of City Hall. A reasonable time limit will be provided for successful applicants to move within the mileage limit.  All applicants must complete a probationary period.

Benefits include paid personal, sick, and vacation. Also included is health, dental, and vision insurance along with 11paid holidays and IMRF retirement.  A full explanation of benefits can be provided upon request.

POLICE CHIEF

The City of East Peoria, Illinois encompasses about 23 square miles, has a population of approximately 22,700 and is located in Central Illinois along the Illinois River.  The City operates under the Commission form of government with a Mayor and four Commissioners.  The Police Chief reports to the Mayor with administrative and operational oversight provided by the City of East Peoria.  The Police Department currently has an authorized strength of 51 personnel which includes 43 sworn officers, including the Chief of Police, Deputy Chiefs, and Detectives.  Three full-time non-sworn personnel are engaged in administrative and clerical assignment. The FY 2018 budget for the Department is $4,870,261.  Members of the Police Department are represented under collective bargaining agreements.  Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible municipal law enforcement experience, including at least five years in responsible command-level positions in a comparable municipality.  Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with course work in police administration, public administration or related field.  FBI Academy and post graduate degree desirable.  Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; strong leadership skills; ability to work effectively with elected and appointed officials; and ability to apply sound management principles to enhance and maintain high level of police services. Salary for the position is $108,000 to $129,600 DQE.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is seeking applications to fill a full-time vacancy for the position of Deputy Sheriff due to Sheriff Russell’s retiring. AVON PD PART TIME OFFICERS

The Avon Police Department is looking for 1-3 part-time certified police officers. The position pays $14/hour. Required to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Shifts are first and second shift, and weekend shifts are preferred. We can accommodate most schedules and rotating shifts from primary jobs.
