 Course Objective

Police Combatives will teach how to identify, process, and mitigate the physical, physiological and psychological effects of stress on the human body when engaged in a physical conflict. Situational awareness, combat shooting, and ground fighting will also be covered during the course.

Course Content
  • Combative mindset
  • Identifying stress
  • Effects of stress on the human body
  • How to stay in the fight without injury (physical and psychological)
  • Combat Training
Materials Needed for Course
  • Mind and body willing to work
  • Duty Belt – No live ammo or weapons (if on SRT team, bring your Tactical vest)
  • Ballistic Vest (If patrol officer)
  • Simunitions will be used throughout training
  • You will actively fighting around on the ground/mats, wear the appropriate clothing.

MTU 7 request for certification of this course has been  approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board Mobile In-Service Training Team #7 Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
Meets mandatory guidelines set for the following: Civil Rights, Constitutional and Proper use of Law Enforcement Authority, Procedural Justice, Legal Updates, Use of Force (with scenario based training)
