This meeting will include all needed information on how the new testing system will be completed. All agencies with K9 Narcotics detection dogs or those wishing to have them need to send a representative. You may register through us as you can with any class by May 25th. Please provide the names of your departments attendees. See below for the letter from Pat Connolly.
MTU Directors: Please contact the agencies in your MTU to extend this invitation. MTU representatives and area trainers are also welcome and encouraged to attend. I would ask that you provide me with the numbers by 5 p.m. Friday May 25th. Richland Community College will be preparing the food, and they need an approximate count. Thanks very much for your help! This information will also be posted on the ILETSB website.
The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board has been conducting a comprehensive review of the current canine program. On June 4, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., an informational meeting will be held in the Richland Community College Auditorium. Canine officers and supervisors are welcome to attend. Since lunch will be provided, we are asking that you contact your local MTU office to confirm attendance. This confirmation needs to be submitted by 3 p.m., Friday May 25, 2018. Your local MTU will then send attendance confirmations to this office.
The purpose of the meeting is to share the suggested annual compliance standards for canine teams.
