Their Crimes against Central Illinois
Instructor: Gary Nolte,
Gryphon Training Group
May 15-16, 2019
8am – 4pm
Its no longer a question of “IF” you’ll be hit, but “WHEN” you’ll be hit.
ATM Skimming, Crime Against the Elderly, Ruse Entry and Impostor Burglaries, Paving Scams, Short Changing, Till Taps, Store Diversion Burglaries, Scrap Metal Thefts, Fortune Telling, The Sweetheart Swindle, The Grandchild in Distress Scam; All these crimes are committed by these groups, and they potentially plague EVERY community in America
The Gryphon Training Group, the pre-eminent trainers in this field, in association with the Central Illinois Training Center, is presenting an incredible 2-day seminar on Criminal Gypsies and Travelers.
- FACT: Many Chicago based criminal gypsies work the Peoria area.
- FACT: Criminal Gypsies/travelers make an estimated $17B annually and don’t pay taxes.
- FACT: ATM skimming is attributed to Romanian National Gypsies.
- FACT: One in five seniors has been the victim of financial abuse.
- FACT: There are five major clans to deal with- not just the one.
- FACT: We have made a database of over 4,000 suspects and have solved over 50 cases in the classroom.
- FACT: No city, town or village can avoid these offenders.
- FACT: Prosecution is the only deterrent.
Handouts will be plentiful and include a copy of the database of offenders. Only LE personnel will receive a copy of the database in conjunction with Federal Dissemination Laws. All branches of LE and LE Support are welcome.
Gary Nolte retired from the Skokie Police Department after thirty-one (31)) years, both in patrol and in the Detectives. I have been investigating Gypsy crime since 1995. Retired on May 3, 2006. Has previously appointed a special U.S. Marshall, which allowed interstate travel to investigate these clans.-While keeping abreast of the activities of the clans, has assisted over two hundred fifty (250) police departments in approximately thirty-two (32) states as well as departments in Canada, INTERPOL, US Immigration’s/Homeland Security, Federal and local prosecutors, as well as the FBI and the United States State Department in Berlin, Germany.
Asked to serve as a contributor and editor on a book published by the Illinois State Police, which portray the Yugoslavian Gypsies, the M.O.s, crime patterns, and their vehicles to Law Enforcement. In 2000, the Illinois State Police, once again, asked me to assist in publishing a more up to date version. The prior book, which was published in 1997, and distributed nationwide and was responsible for over one hundred (100) positive identifications, which led to subsequent arrests.
