At the Central Illinois Police Training Center, or CIPTC for short, we have designed a wide variety of courses. In fact, our courses help law enforcement officers further their careers and abilities. Having the right skills on the job can be life-saving in certain circumstances. These skills include negotiating with a hostage-taker or handling an interrogation. Useful skills make the life of a professional law enforcement officer more rewarding and efficient.

Goals and Objectives

The overall purpose of our Mobile Team Law Enforcement Training is to encourage all local and Illinois state law enforcement agencies. We help to increase their knowledge and abilities. Our courses have been designed to be as intuitive and hands-on as possible. Thus ensuring that any officer who undergoes courses will walk away with new capabilities. Our training opportunities are available throughout Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties. In fact, we cover the most ground and the majority of the region’s law enforcement agencies. If we can provide comprehensive training courses to even a handful of officers, then we’ve accomplished our goals.

As for our primary objectives, CIPTC has always strived to ensure law enforcement officers and the people they protect are safe from harm’s way. We do this through high-quality training programs, such as Hostage Negotiation, Police Combatives, and 40-Hour Mandatory Firearms.

Registration

To register for one or more courses with the CIPTC, you must be willing and able to fill out the corresponding application forms for each course you’re interested in. While it may seem tedious to fill out more paperwork on the job, such information allows us to offer the highest quality training we possibly can to local officers.
